Gombe Unveils Over 86km Roads, Bridges, Other Projects

…As Zulum commends Inuwa Yahaya for transformative development
Gombe State has commissioned more than 86 kilometres of roads, a major bridge, an LCDA secretariat, district palaces and other infrastructure projects as part of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s sustained investment in connectivity and grassroots development.
Commissioning the projects in Kwami Local Government Area, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for the scale of development across Gombe, describing the achievements as unprecedented in the history of the state.
The commissioned road projects include the 41km Shango-Sarkin Yaki- Abuja/Bula- Bomala-Dinawa-Alagarno-Kalajanga-Tappi Road, the 30km Kwanan Gerkwami-Tsangayari-Gerkwami-Daniya-Daban Fulani Road, the 15km Kurba-Titi-Tsangayari Road with spur to Kundulum, and the three-span Titi-Kurba Bridge.
Governor Zulum said the improved road network would strengthen connectivity, open up rural communities, expand access to farmlands and markets, and stimulate agricultural and economic activities.
The Borno State Governor described the scale of development recorded under the present administration in Gombe as unprecedented.
“I want to use this platform to commend His Excellency, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, for all the good works that he has been doing in Gombe. Such kind of development is unprecedented in the history of Gombe State,” Governor Zulum said.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya said the projects were strategically designed to connect communities, unlock economic opportunities and improve access to essential services.
He said the projects were being delivered under the Network-1100 initiative, which targets approximately 1,100 kilometres of roads across the state’s 11 Local Government Areas, adding that more than 1,000 kilometres had already been constructed as his administration enters its final phase.
Also commissioned was the Kwami West LCDA Secretariat in Bojude, one of 13 LCDA secretariats constructed by the state government to strengthen grassroots administration and bring government services closer to the people.
Governor Zulum commended the LCDA initiative, as well as the newly commissioned Bojude and Daban Fulani District Head palaces, noting the complementary roles of infrastructure, effective administration and traditional institutions in strengthening communities and promoting development.
He urged the people to sustain peace, unity and support for development initiatives across the state.
