PZ Cussons Nigeria has announced a revenue of N260.46 billion for the first quarter of its 2027 financial year, marking a 10% increase from the N59.014 billion recorded in the same period of 2025. The company's board of directors disclosed this in its unaudited financial results.
According to the breakdown of the results, the cost of sales rose by 5% to N45.06 billion in the first quarter of the 2026 financial year, up from N43.11 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. Gross profit also grew by 24%, reaching N19.78 billion in Q1 2026 from N15.90 billion in Q1 2025.
Company Secretary Oghenekevwe Ogefere stated that total operating profit for Q1 2027 climbed to N8.54 billion, compared to N5.85 billion in the same period of 2026, reflecting improved operational performance. She attributed the growth to a favourable mix of volume and pricing, as well as the strength of the group's brands across relevant categories. She also noted that the performance demonstrated the company's continued focus on sustainable revenue growth, operational efficiency, and strengthening its underlying business.
"Profit before tax was N9.09 billion, while profit after tax was N4.63 billion. These figures were lower than in the corresponding period last year, which included N15.74 billion in non-recurring gains. The Group recorded N0.51 billion in non-recurring gains in the current quarter. Gross margin improved to approximately 30.5%, from 26.9% a year earlier," Ogefere said.
She emphasised that the company remains committed to sustaining revenue growth, enhancing operating performance, and delivering long-term value to its stakeholders.
