Pete Byrne, frontman of British new wave band Naked Eyes, dies aged 74

Duo had US hits with their cover of Always Something There to Remind Me as well as Promises, Promises and more Pete Byrne, the frontman of British new wave group Naked Eyes who carried them to repeated chart successes in the US, has died aged 74. The news was announced on the band’s website and social media on Wednesday, stating that Byrne died peacefully in Los Angeles on 14 September after a brief illness.
