2027: Ex- Minister Shittu Declares Support For Oyo APC Candidates
Former Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, has mobilised his followers for candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election in Oyo State.
The party chieftain specifically supported the senatorial ambition of Remi Oseni ahead of Oyo South Senatorial District election. He made the gesture during a collaborative meeting between his followers under the umbrella of Adebayo Shittu Vanguard and the lawmaker.
Shittu, in his remarks, declared that all his followers were ready to support the lawmaker’s ambition and pledged to support other candidates of the party.
Oseni while noting that elections were not won on social media, advised all members of the group to work for all the candidates of the party.
He said, “I am happy and I am humbled by your unalloyed support. I know that what you stand for is truth. Whatever we want to achieve in the presidential and gubernatorial elections, there must not be any problem with Oyo South Senatorial District.
“Let us go to town and talk to the people to vote for us. Let us talk to our people in an environment that is conducive for people to listen. Election is not won on social media. You should move from one local government area to the other. If you want to succeed you need to plan for it”.
Besides Oseni, other party chieftains at the meeting were Barrister Lowo Obisesan, Hon Segun Ajanaku and Hon Remi Sadiq.
Others were Chairman of Adebayo Shittu Vanguard in the State, Alhaji Kamil Adepoju, Chairman of the planning committee, Alhaji Ismail Gbolagade Oyinlola and the Secretary of the planning committee, Hon Saheed Arisekola Oyediran.
Adepoju in his welcome address noted that the purpose of the meeting was to chat a way forward for the progress of the party.
“The main purpose of this meeting is to coordinate all members of Adebayo Shittu Vanguard to mobilise all our members for the success of all the candidates of the party.
“¹All the members in Oyo South Senatorial District have pledged their loyalty for the success of the APC candidate in the senatorial district, Hon Remi Oseni. We members of this group are not betrayers. We don’t double date”.
Oyinlola in his own contribution, noted that all members of the group have resolved to support Oseni’s ambition.
“We thank God. To God be the glory. We have decided to work for him”.
