NIGERIA AT 66: EASYPAQ Salutes President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gcfr, For Advancing Housing And Homeownership Through Renewed Hope And MREIF

As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of nationhood, EasyPaq salutes His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his administration’s commitment to expanding housing and homeownership opportunities for Nigerians.

From the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme to the Federal Government’s mortgage and housing-finance interventions, the administration has set in motion a national housing journey aimed at expanding opportunities across the federation.

That journey is already underway.

Renewed Hope Cities and Estates are being developed across different parts of the country, including major housing projects in Lagos, Kano and the Federal Capital Territory, alongside estates in several other states. The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has reported 10,112 housing units across 14 active construction sites under the programme.

These developments represent more than the construction of houses. They form part of a broader effort to increase housing supply, strengthen communities and bring the possibility of homeownership closer to Nigerians in different parts of the country.

As the programme continues to expand, the growing spread of housing developments also reinforces the importance of ensuring that housing opportunities are supported by practical pathways through which Nigerians can ultimately become homeowners.

FROM HOUSING DEVELOPMENT TO HOMEOWNERSHIP

Building houses is an important part of the journey, but making homeownership achievable also requires access to suitable and sustainable financing.

Through the Ministry of Finance Incorporated Real Estate Investment Fund (MREIF), the Federal Government has expanded long-term mortgage financing for Nigerian families. By June 2026, the Presidency reported that MREIF had delivered ₦128 billion in mortgages to 1,859 families across 25 states.

The wider Renewed Hope housing framework also provides different acquisition options, including mortgage, rent-to-own and outright purchase, creating multiple pathways through which eligible Nigerians can pursue homeownership.

This combination of housing delivery and access to finance is important to the wider homeownership journey. Increasing the number of available homes creates opportunity, while strengthening financing pathways can help more Nigerians move closer to acquiring those homes.

Housing development also creates opportunities beyond the homeowner. New projects generate activity across construction, engineering, building materials, professional services, artisanship and local businesses, contributing to employment and economic activity within communities.

EASYPAQ IS COMING ON BOARD TO SUPPORT THAT JOURNEY

EasyPaq recognises the progress being made and the possibilities ahead as Nigeria continues to expand its housing and homeownership landscape.

As this national journey progresses, EasyPaq — Easy Property Acquisition Ltd is preparing to bring its contribution to the property-acquisition space, guided by its commitment to making the journey to property ownership easier and more accessible for Nigerians.

EasyPaq also recognises that wider homeownership requires collaboration between Federal and State Governments, financial institutions, developers, private-sector organisations and other stakeholders across the housing ecosystem.

Every stakeholder has a role to play in strengthening the connection between the homes being developed and the Nigerians who aspire to own them.

As housing and homeownership opportunities continue to expand across the country, EasyPaq looks forward to being part of that journey.

ONE NATIONAL VISION — MORE HOMEOWNERS

At 66, Nigeria continues to look toward a future where more citizens can turn the aspiration of property ownership into reality.

From increasing housing supply to strengthening mortgage access, the progress being made today contributes to a wider national ambition: more Nigerians having the opportunity to own homes, build lasting assets and create security for future generations.

The journey toward wider homeownership will continue to require housing development, accessible financing, strong partnerships and sustained collaboration across both the public and private sectors.

For EasyPaq, that future represents an exciting new chapter and an opportunity to contribute to the continuing evolution of Nigeria’s property-ownership landscape.

MORE HOMES. MORE OPPORTUNITIES. MORE HOMEOWNERS.
